St. Pancras and St. Mary Islington Cemetery, 1854 to date
The cemetery was opened in 1854 by the St Pancras Burial Board (elected by St Pancras Vestry) which then sold part of the land to the Vestry of St Mary Islington. The cemetery was (and is) managed jointly, though for many years there was a boundary wall between the two parts
